2009 Rally Report:
An excellent start to the 2009 Rally Season at February's Quiz Rally goes to Sammie H., Hunter M. & Keileigh McM. ...their team came in second place (out of six). Special thanx to Ragan & Dakota for teaching during the Club's Quiz Prep Sessions!
Teams loaded up their ponies and headed off to Show Jumping Rally in March at Highfields in Aiken, SC.
Team results are as follows:
Ragan, Emily, Sam (SM) - 2nd HM, 3rd overall
Megan, Dakota, Ben, Allie (SM) - 8th HM, 4th overall
Both teams got 100% on their written tests
Ragan was awarded the Sportsmanship Award for her excessive help in transferring the younger members from the tent stalls to the pole barns during a tornado watch!!
Emily qualified for championships with her pony Cheddar! Good Luck in Lexington!!!
Dressage Rally in April at Historic Latta Plantation, found Ragan, Emily D. and Samantha F. loading up their rally boxes & headed off to Huntersville, NC.
Emily was voted the gold medal for Stable Management..this was Emily's first time as a Stable Manager!
Ragan's team won the gold medal for overall score and missed the individual high score for her Musical Freestyle on Prince by only two points...
Samantha's team won the gold medal for overall score.
May (always Mother's Day weekend!) found many of our members heading out in the pouring rain for Eventing Rally at Carolina Horse Park in Raeford, NC. Team results are as follows:
Sammy H., Keleigh, Hunter & Sammie F. made up a team of Mixed D's finishing 1st HM & 3rd overall.
Ben on a scramble BN team finished 1st HM & 5th overall
Ragan on a Novice scramble team finished 3rd HM & 4th overall
Megan & Emily on a scramble Training Team finished 2nd HM & 4th overall.
Megan & her pony Zak won the Best Dressage Award for Training & Prelim divisions on their score of 26 (they got a "9" on the test!)
